Sevilla hit man Alvaro Negredo has slammed former club Real Madrid for choosing to sign Lyon star Karim Benzema.
"I was told that they rated me, but ultimately I did not ever play," said Negredo.
"That's why I decided to leave.
"They should have trusted me, rather than Karim Benzema.
"They preferred to spend money and bet on him becoming a star rather than a player from the Castilla."
